Project Description
The scheme design by Clash Associates was engineered by Techniker to occupy a constricted site next to Cardiff Railway Station. An attenuated reinforced concrete frame makes the most of the space available and provides a solid surround with which to achieve complete acoustic isolation. The building sits on a partial basement and detailed construction studies were made to find a practical and economic solution for ground-works on this difficult site.
